Brocade Certified Network Professional BCNP
This certification validates knowledge to implement advanced features of BGP, OSPF and STP technologies as well as provide level 2 support, diagnostics and fault isolations for medium to large-sized networks.
The Brocade Certified Network Professional 2009 exam tests against the following topics:
Spanning Tree Protocol (STP):802.1d STP, Root bridge election and path cost, Spanning tree applications, Rapid spanning tree 802.1w, Single instance spanning tree, Per VLAN spanning tree, Per VLAN group spanning tree, VRRPe in a spanning tree environment
OSPF:
OSPF adjacency, OSPF database, OSPF route summarization, Administrative differences, Blocking external LSAs, OSPF filters
BGP:
BGP fundamentals, Route filtering and selection, Implementing BGP policy changes, Manipulating attributes using route maps, Filtering prefixes, Transit autonomous systems, Redundancy, Multi-homed to ISPs, BGP convergence and route flap dampening, Scaling IBGP
Troubleshooting
Using Brocade's CLI to diagnose and troubleshoot a switch network problem
For passing the exam, completion of the ETH 405 is strongly recommended.
